ARA-290 16MG is an investigational peptide studied for its interaction with innate repair pathways, inflammation, tissue protection, and nerve biology.
For research use only.
ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an investigational 11-amino-acid peptide designed to activate the body’s innate repair receptor (IRR).
It was developed from the tissue-protective region of erythropoietin (EPO), but unlike EPO, it is designed not to stimulate red blood cell production.
ARA-290 is being studied for its potential ability to reduce inflammation, protect injured tissues, and promote nerve repair.
Human clinical studies have been especially promising in small-fiber neuropathy.
Research has reported:
ARA-290 has also received FDA orphan-drug designation for sarcoidosis-related indications, but it remains investigational and is not FDA-approved for routine clinical use.
ARA-290 activates the innate repair receptor, which is expressed in injured and inflamed tissues.
Activation of this receptor may help shift the body’s response from ongoing inflammation toward protection, recovery, and tissue repair.
Research suggests that ARA-290 may:
Decrease inflammatory signaling involving TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and NF-κB.
Activate signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt, JAK/STAT, and other cellular survival mechanisms.
Promote the recovery of damaged small nerve fibers and reduce inflammation surrounding injured nerves.
Unlike conventional pain medications, ARA-290 may reduce pain by addressing inflammatory and nerve-injury mechanisms.
Preclinical research has investigated ARA-290 in models of diabetic complications, cardiovascular injury, traumatic brain injury, burns, metabolic dysfunction, and other forms of tissue damage.
ARA-290 is not merely an anti-inflammatory peptide.
It is being investigated as a tissue-protective and repair-signaling peptide that may assist the body in limiting injury, resolving inflammation, and regenerating damaged nerves.
